Quantifying potential flood mitigation benefits of tree planting on Mallerstang West Common, Upper Eden

Sep - Oct 2017

To quantify the flood mitigation benefit of tree planting on Mallerstang West Common. JBA's JFLOW model is used to simulate the planting effects on the 'infitration-excess overland flow' component of flood flows (1-in-10 year design event) downstream at Pendragon Castle and just beyond Kirkby Stephen town.
