Sue’s project will investigate the bioavailability and speciation of molybdenum and tungsten in water, soil and sediments. The ultimate goal of the work is to develop and apply a new technique which is able to quantifiably measure bioavailable Mo and W in natural environments. Sue has received funding from NERC and has additional CASE funding from the International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) and the International Tungsten Industry Association (ITIA).
Prior to commencing her PhD research, Sue completed her Bachelors degree in Biological Science and masters degree in Environmental and Biochemical Toxicology, both of which were undertaken at Lancaster University. Sue is a keen swimmer and mountain biker.
