Our research, led by Prof. Lionel Wilson, aims to address the fundamental mechanisms of volcanic eruptions elsewhere in the solar system. It includes:

• Analysis of the latest images returned from Mars and other planetary bodies
• Mathematical models of eruption mechanisms on Mars and elsewhere
• Investigation of the role of volcanism in planetary evolution
• Study of magma-water and magma-ice interactions on planetary bodies
