  • Undergraduate study

    Although there is no dedicated volcanology degree, various courses involve geology and aspects of volcanology and there is the opportunity to do your third-year project on a volcano-related theme.   • Masters courses

    Research projects in volcanology are available to masters students. There is an annual Volcanic Process Field Course, which involves a week of fieldwork at an active basaltic volcano such as Mount Etna in Sicily.
