                              NEW ORGANISER
A volunteer is urgently required to take over the running of SLUGS. Its not a lot
of work - honest - just that after four years of doing it we are getting a bit
jaded and we have our hands full looking after two lively toddlers.

                           EVENTS - WINTER 95/96 
DEC 15-17 YORKSHIRE DALES                             Contact: John Boardman
	Walking and mountain biking in the Wensledale/Swaledale area.
	Camping/cottage accomodation.

DEC 30 - NEW YEAR                                     Contact: Meg Owens - 01925 263507
	Plenty of food & drink and good company to welcome in 1996 on Sunday evening.
	Feed the local ducks on Monday. Activities for Saturday and Sunday will
	be weather dependent. Sledging at Horseshoe Pass if there is snow,
	Walking through the puddles to a pub if its raining, and in the
	unlikely event of fine weather cycling round Cheshire.

JAN 5-7 SPEAN BRIDGE                                  Contact: John Boardman
	A few places left in a centally heated bunkhouse idealy situated near the
	Aonach More ski lifts. Cost 6-50 per night. Opportunities for downhill
	and cross country skiing and mountain biking.

JAN 19-21 LAKE DISTRICT                                Contact: Dave Brown - 0161 256 2804
	This years winter trip to the Lakes will be in Low Hall Garth Hut near Little
	Langdale Tarn (GR 309 029 - marked on 2 1/2 inch map). Approach the hut via
	a narrow road to High Park Farm from the A593 Coniston road. This is an ideal
	base for the Coniston and Langdale fells. Meet in the Three Shires Inn - on the
	road towards Wrynose Pass on Friday evening.

	The ever popular SLUGS trip to snowy (hopefully) Scotland. This year the hut really
	will have been renovated so there should be a lot more space. As usual we may or may
	not be skiing in Glencoe, ice climbing, hill walking, cross country skiing etc.
        The Ochils club hut is about half a mile east of the station on the Left of the
	road to Stirling just past the Ben More bar.

	Spend Easter on the Isle of Arran. Camp in Glen Rosa Campsite, walk up Goat Fell,
	cycle round the island, or climb on the granite slabs.
	You may need to book if you plan to take a car across.
