address and events list that way. Anybody who wishes to be added should send me 
their address. Ian Edmondson is also creating a SLUGS page on the web 
(http://www.ednet.lancs.ac.uk/luss/Slugs/index.html) any queries or 
suggestions about that should be directed to him.

JUNE 7-9 SWALEDALE MEADOWS
Stroll through the beautiful meadows of Swaledale, full of flowers, or partake 
of some culture on the last weekend of the Swaledale festival. Tour the tea 
shops and pubs studying the art exhibitions  or attend an openair performance 
of The Ring Goes South (from Lord of the Rings) at Bolton Castle.
Camp by the river in Muker near the Miners Arms on the road to Thwaite.

JULY 5-7 CAMPING IN THE LAKES 
Camp on the shore of Ullswater at the Waterside House Campsite on the east side 
of the lake GR 463230. Canadian canoes and rowing boats(and maybe mountain 
bikes) for hire. Launching for windsurfers and or just easy  walking or 
spectating  for the land lovers.

AUG 2-4 SLUGS REGATTA, BALA 
Another chance to join the popular sailing and windsurfing event at Bala Race 
across the lake or sunbathe on the shore. Board hire in Bala. River rafting 
near by.
Camping at Llangower Point, South side of lake (GR. 904 323) 

SEPT 13-15 DERBYSHIRE WEEKEND
 Avoid the crowds after the school holidays and go climbing, walking, cycling 
or whatever takes your fancy. Camp behind the George Pub in Alstonefield  GR.

OCTOBER 4-6 BRECON WEEKEND
Have a change and head south ! Discover the hills and reservoirs of South Wales 
by foot, bike etc. Those who want to could even organise a caving trip. Camp in 
a field at Talybont-on-Usk GR 117226, near the canal and river with good pubs a 
short stroll away.

Summer 2000 - Chris Baxter is organising a trip to the Picos to celebrate 25 
years in Tresviso in the summer of 2000. Join in the 5 yearly fiesta del san 
Carlos on August 5.
