If you want to come to Aviemore for the weekend 24/25th April, please let Anne and Ken know straight away.  8 beds are reserved but we will cancel the places we don't need. So far only Phil and Rosie, Anne and Ken, are definite.

If you left a blue flask at Rawhead last weekend, let us know. We also brought home a couple of toothbrushes and toothpaste!

A new events list will be out soon. If you've any ideas, or offers to organize something, please let me know quickly!

Here are details from Elen of a slugs event happening 16/17th June. Should be a good weekend. (Bill and Elen organised a similar weekend in the Forest of Dean last year)

Here are the details of the 16/17th June...

I've booked a whole campsite near Hay on Wye.  It's situated up on a hill farm.

Camping will be approx. 3.50 per person per night,  but we may also get a discount.

We need to get around 20 people in order to have sole use, but the campsite holds upto 40.
The campsite is fairly basic, but it is in a beautiful spot.

Not sure what climbing is near by, but Crickhowell is about 30 mins drive away.

There is a good riding stables just ten minutes away, and a canoe hire place on the Wye.  The canoing is easy - canadians or kayaks available.  You can hire for a day or 1/2 day, downstream only - the company will come and pick you up and take you  back to the starting point.

There is also B+B accommodation at the farm if any one would like to join us but doesn't fancy camping.

The idea would be to have a joint BBQ on Saturday, without disturbing other campers' night

If any one is interested - please contact me and let me know:
- How many interested in the weekend -camping?
- If you would like B=B please book direct (see below)
- If anyone is interested in riding - and whether a beginner or experienced?
- Anyone for a mass canoe down the Wye? full day or 1/2 day

Riding and canoeing are not  mutually exclusive, but may be better if on separate days if a lot of people want to do both.

Finally feel free to let others know about the weekend. There is plenty of space.
