SLUGS Newsletter – April 2004

News

Sluglettes: Anne and Chris Browning now have a baby girl, Emily, born 10 February, sister to David. Fiona and Paul Ibberson have a girl, Rosie Claire, born 1 March. Congratulations to all concerned.

Shelley Willson (shelleywillson@hotmail.com; 01524 62208) is emigrating back to Canada in June, so get in touch with her to say ‘goodbye’ / ‘what’s your address, we’re going to turn up on your doorstep and stay for 2 months?’

Slugs has now accumulated a certain amount of money – yes, some people do pay their subscriptions – and this can be used to subsidise events where a minimum payment has to be made or a deposit given. Contact Phil if you need further details.

Tresviso 2005

Momentum is gathering for the return to Tresviso next year. October’s newsletter will contain a mass of information about accomodation, facilities, transport etc. In the meantime, here are some links that may be of interest. The first one is interesting. Brian Judd had got the idea Tresviso 2000 was a caving expedition and turned up hoping to find cavers keen to help him dive in Marniosa. How had he got this idea? I will leave you to judge for yourself! <http://homepage.mac.com/brianjudd/cavedive/Marniosa/marnios1/marniosa.htm>
A list of all the LUSS expeditions to Tresviso with brief details and a list of members for each one. Handy if you've forgotten when you actually went! <http://www.ednet.lancs.ac.uk/luss/Exploration/Spain/years.html#year70>
